Part Two: Shape using "fill" and stroke" tools:
Using these two tools was difficult at first due to grouping and ungrouping objects. I first used the shape tool to create the dragonfly. Then, I selected the shape and ungrouped the items. I then chose appearance from the control panel. Select the "fill" or "stroke" tool to change the colors. Choose one, then the color, then click on your image. At first, I didn't realize that grouping and ungrouping made a difference. If items are grouped you have different options on the appearnace menu. I still need a lot of work with these tools. It was fun learning though!
Part 3 of Projecet: Grid, Allign and Ruler Tool.
I found this part to be very frustrating. THough I got the grid on to create my project, I could never get it to show on my image like Peter's example, so I must still be doing something wrong. I also used rulers and the allign tool. I also played with the snap to grid tool, which allign objects to the nearest grid line.
